During the forced isolation caused by the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020, the Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw invited students to participate in the Multicultural Meetings Online.

At a time when we were unable to meet other people "face to face", VC UW organized an activity enabling meeting new friends and acquiring useful skills with the use of the tools provided by technology. Students could meet online and teach each other foreign languages. Over 170 people from the University of Warsaw and other Polish and foreign universities expressed the will to participate in the meetings. As part of the activity, participants expressed their willingness to talk in over 50 different languages. Participation in the project was a great opportunity to learn a new language or train one you already know, learn something about different cultures and meet students without leaving home.
