This time, we invite you to a special meeting with a dog behaviourist. The workshop will focus on understanding how dogs perceive the world, how they communicate with one another and with us, and how we can build stronger, more conscious relationships with them. It is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge about canine behaviour and learn how to create bonds based on trust and respect.
When?
17 March, 5.00–6.30 pm
Where?
Volunteer Centre UW (BUW, Dobra 56/66, ground floor)
Language: English
About the speaker
Marta Kotarbińska is a dog behaviourist and co-founder of the Zwierzochron Foundation.
In her work, she focuses on explaining canine communication and building dog–human relationships based on mutual trust and respect – the foundation for working successfully with any dog.
Dogs have always been her passion, although they became part of her everyday life around 20 years ago. In 2013, she began volunteering at a small animal shelter in Siestrzeń near Warsaw. A year later, together with three other volunteers, she co-founded the Zwierzochron Foundation in order to support animals in need more effectively.
In 2017, the Foundation was granted Public Benefit Organisation.
To work professionally with dogs requiring specialised support, she completed a dog training instructor course conducted by Piotr Awencki at the ZUZIK Kennel Education Centre, as well as numerous courses and seminars. She is currently completing postgraduate studies in Applied Animal Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw. She has also completed a comprehensive professional course “Behaviourist–Zoopsychologist” at Ethoplanet – Ethological Training and Consulting Centre.
