December is that month in which we want to make others happy even more. Additionally, on December 3 we celebrate the eighth birthday of VC UW and on December 5 International Volunteer Day! That is why this year we have prepared a special December program of events and actions for you. As you can see, diverse possibilities await you!

Mission: Christmas Card
Just as every year, the Volunteer Centre of UW organizes a special mission before Christmas! This time we invite you to send wishes which will be delivered to seniors staying in the Nursing Home of the Society of St. Francis de Sales in Warsaw.

This year, as every previous one, the Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw would like to encourage you to support cats and dogs from the shelters!
It’s simple – bring a packet of animal food. You can also bring tick droppers (neither collars nor sprays). The main collection point is at the Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw in the University of Warsaw Library (ground floor, behind the Poster Gallery).
You can visit us from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

December 5 is the International Volunteer Day, and 90% of our volunteer community is female so it's time to celebrate that! What is the best topic for the Volunteer Centre based at the university? Of course Women in Science! During her presentation, Diana - our volunteer from the Faculty of Biology will introduce us to herstories of the great minds.
Boys of course can join the meeting too! We invite everyone who is interested in the history of academia and thought.
